Robert Fromm
Robert William Fromm, age 35, of Denver, CO. and formerly of Iowa City, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at his home.
Born April 18, 1974, in Burlington, he was the son of Richard Roy Fromm and Carolyn Jackson Fromm.
He worked as a chef in the Denver area for King Foods. Robert was a 1992 graduate of West Burlington High School, attended Kirkwood Community College and graduated from Iowa State University in 2002 with a degree in Culinary Arts and Consumer Food Science.
Survivors include his longtime companion, William Schulte of Denver, CO.; father, Richard and Carole Fromm of Godley, Illinois; his mother, Carolyn Fromm and Steven Patterson of West Burlington; sister, Kathy and Chad Bonser of Mechanicsville, Iowa; nephews, Andrew and Gage Bonser of Mechanicsville, Iowa; maternal grandparents, Alfred and Mary Ellen Jackson of Mediapolis, Iowa; aunt, Christine and Alan Sergeant of Longmont, CO.; uncle, Ron and Bonnie Fromm of Mediapolis, Iowa; step brothers, Tom and Jennifer Patterson and family of Burlington, Iowa; Ben and Megan Patterson and family of Davenport, Iowa; and many devoted friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William and Margaret Fromm.
Bob enjoyed family get-togethers, friends (to whom he gave each a unique nickname), cooking and his cat, Stinkums. In his school years, he enjoyed oil painting along with other artistic endeavors.
A memorial service will be held Monday March 1, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis, with Rev. Jeff Kodis officiating. The family will meet with friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service Monday at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun, per Bob's request, his body has been cremated.
A memorial will be established in honor of Bob's love for all animals to: Best Friends Animal Society, Kanab, Utah.
