Donald Samuel Swank, 77, of Comstock, died Wednesday, September 10, 2003, at Cumberland Memorial Hospital. He was born April 27, 1926 in Johnstown Township in Polk County, WI, the son of David and Adeline (Simon) Swank.

Donald was a dairy farmer in Johnstown Township for most of his life.

He is survived by one daughter, Donna (Robert) Webb of Eau Claire; two stepsons, Michael (Connie) Minteer of Comstock, and Edward (Penny) Kramer of Plymouth, MN; one stepdaughter, Debbie Minteer of Eau Claire; 13 grandchildren, one brother, Harry Swank of Cumberland; one sister, Ellen Staack of Readlyn, IA, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, John, and seven sisters, Irene, Lillian, Rita, Josephine, Marie, Dorothy, and infant Bernice.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Ann Catholic church in Turtle Lake, with Father Dennis Mullen officiating. Burial was in St. Ann Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bob Swank, Gene LaMere, Jim Christiansen, Mary Merth, Dick Haley and Daryl Swank.

Skinner Funeral Home of Turtle Lake was in charge of arrangements.
