Big Doc Pierce was the son of Oliver and Caroline Korder Pierce of Kansas City. He made many friends over the years that he served in the Military, worked with the Local Pipefitters Union and lived in Lathrop. He was married twice. His first wife was Caroline McGuire. His 2nd wife, Laura Louise Prudden is buried here, also. Doc had two sons, three stepsons and a stepdaughter who loved him.
