Elizabeth Bolan

IRON MOUNTAIN—Elizabeth J. Bolan, 90, of Norway, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1997, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.

Mrs. Bolan was born June 24, 1906, in Norway, daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Bergen) Waeghe. She married Emil Bolan on Jan. 15, 1927, in Norway and he preceded her in death on April 22, 1985.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway, Daughters of Isabella, Legion of Mary, Norway-Vulcan Senior Center, and St. Mary Altar Society.

She leaves two sons, Arthur Bolan of Grand Rapids and Robert (Ann) Bolan of Norway; two daughters, Shirley (Dale) Hughes of Quinnesec and Rosemarie Hotchkiss of Ortonville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose (Frank) Mastie of Port Charles, Fla. and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Francis Waeghe and two sisters, Irene Shindler and Jeanette Robinson.

Visitation will be held Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Miner Funeral Home of Norway. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. and parish prayers at 7 p.m. Friday.

Prayers will also be recited on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. The funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. Mark McQuesten will officiate. Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.

IRON MOUNTAIN—Elizabeth J. Bolan, 90, of Norway, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 1997, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Iron Mountain.
