Dorthea June Cavitt
June Cavitt, age 64, resident of Doniphan, Missouri, was born July 24, 1937 in Success, daughter of Dewey Wilburn (W. D.) Rice, and Nova Willene (Stephens) Rice and formerly resided in Corning, attending Corning Schools. She died August 7, 2001 in Southeast Hospital, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She married Richard Leon Cavitt July 7, 1956 and was a member of First Baptist Church, Milan, Missouri.
Survivors are her husband, Leon Cavitt, Doniphan; one son, Rick and his wife, Jackie Cavitt, Sikeston, Missouri one daughter, Kemberly McCallum, Doniphan; one brother, Bill Rice, Nashville, Tennessee; six grandchildren: Taftnee Henley, Chris Johnson, Deanna Reed, April Cavitt, Clinton McCallum and Kyle McCallum; three great grandchildren, Samuel Thompson, Abby Helms and Matthew Helms.
Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon, August 10, in Ermert Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Don Osborne officiating. Burial in Masonic Cemetery, Pocahontas.
