Irene J. Farr, 82, of 50 E. Alder Canton, IL passed away Friday, February 26, 2010 at 1:07 am at Graham Hospital, Canton, IL. She was born May 4, 1927 in Canton, the daughter of John and Alice (Fidler) Baxter Walker. She was raised by her grandparents, Jesse and Josephine Fidler. She married Dalmer Farr April 10, 1958 at the Galesburg Methodist Church. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Laura Fitch of Macomb and Caroline Leightner of Hot Springs, AK; one son, Dalmer Farr Jr. of Canton; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, J.B. Daily. Irene was a member of The Chapel Retreat House of Peoria and enjoyed listening to music and loved to sing along with it. Services will be Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home, Canton with an hour prior visitation. Pastor Ken Yocum will be officiating.
