Homer R. Payne, 91, of Remington died at 11:30 Friday in Renssalaer Care Center where he had resided three years. Born in Washington County he resided at Indianapolis until moving to Jonesville, Michigan in 1963. He had lived at Remington since 1964. He was a retired carpenter.
In 1957 he was married to Martha Howell (Mattie Mounts Howell) who died in 1970. Surviving are 4 stepsons and 2 stepdaughters all of Michigan, one sister Mrs. Grace Elrod of Esko, Minnesota and a nephew, John Elrod of Remington with whom he made his home. Friends may call at Stitz Funeral Home Remington Monday. Service at 9 A.M. Tuesday in Stitz Chapel. Interment in Sunset View Cemetery, Jonesville, Michigan.
