ALBAUGH- In Cedar Bluffs, July 8th, 1889, John Albaugh, in just the 81st year of his age.

Deceased was born in Harrison county, Ohio, Dec. 31st, 1808; moved to this county in the fall of 1853. He united with the M.E. church nearly 50 years ago. He was a man of peace and illustrated in his life the virtues of the Christian religion. Joy and grief are strangely mingled in human experience by the on sweeping current of time, but in this struggle between grief and joy, in this eclipse of earthly hope and happiness, there comes the light and comfort of a hope that reaches beyond this veil. The victory which Christ has won for his people by the power of his ressurection never seems more precious, and the assurance of his word never more complete than as we rest upon them in such bereavements. The large ingathering at his funeral showed the esteem in which he was held by his friends and neighbors. We extend to each member of this family our sincerest Christian sympathy and commend them unto God and the word of his grace. - S.R.D.
