Claude Massey, 71, of Hinton, Oklahoma, died December 22 in a Weatherford, OK hospital. Mr. Massey lived at Wellington about a year before going to Hinton four months prior to his death He was born June 22, 1897 in Woods County, Oklahoma.

Surviving Mr. Massey are four sons and three daughters: C.W. Massey of Lubbock, Hampton Lee Massey of Cortez, CO; Leonard Allen Massey of San Diego, CA; Ronnie Alvin Massey of Matador; Mrs. Claudine Koons of Hinton, OK; Miss Deborah Massey and Miss Gladiene Massey of Antlers, OK; also three step-sons and four step-daughters: Herman Askew of Burkburnett; Marvin Askew Jr. of Santa Rosa, CA; James F. Kincaid of Antlers, OK; Mrs. Vinita Mae Mustang of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Joyce Sewell of Marysville, CA; Mrs. Pauline Branch of Wellington; and Mrs. Laverne Porter of Grants, NM.

Other survivors are two brothers and two sisters: James Massey of Anglers; Joseph Massey of Grants, NM; Mrs. Lilly Harris of Oklahoma City; and Mrs. Lennie Taylor of Belton. There are 9 grandchildren.
