OBIT: Mrs. Schneider Taken By Death

Mrs. Elizabeth Katherine Schneider, 70, widow of Charles Schneider, died of complications at 12:15pm Wednesday at her home, 4150 Bedford Ave. She had been in failing health for the last 14 months, seriously ill since last Saturday.

She was born in Hamilton on Dec 27, 1886, a daughter of George David and Barbara Hartlieb Schultheiss. On Oct 25, 1903 she was united in marriage with Charles Schneider who preceded her in death on Aug 3, 1949

Mrs. Schneider was a faithful member of St. John Evangelical and Reformed Church and was a past president of Women's Guild of the church. A senior past regent of the Women of the Moose, she also belonge to Washington Chapter 195, Order of Eastern Star; Mt. Harmon Shrine 19, White Shrine of Jerusalem; Academy of Friendship of the Moose Lodge; Silver Link Rebekah Lodge 508, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.

She leaves five sons, William Schneider, George Schneider, Fred Schneider, all of Hamilton, Charles Schneider of Cincinnati, and Robert of Middletown; four daughters, Mrs. George T.(Dorothy) Martin, Mrs. Helen McFarland, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Dowling, and Mrs. Don (Carol) Ortolf, all of Hamilton; two brothers, August Schultheiss and Fred Schultheiss, both of Hamilton; 28 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of Friends. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters, two daughters and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10am Saturday at the St. John church with Rev Les ?, pastor, officiating. The body will lie in state at the church at 9:30am Saturday. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Robert L. Klaus Funeral Home, N. F. St. and Elvin Ave., from 4 to 9pm Friday. The Eastern Star will conduct services at 7:30pm Friday.
