John Wilhelm died at his home 12 miles northwest of here Tuesday evening at 10 o'clock. Despite the fact that Mr. Wilhelm was 80 years and 6 months of age, he had enjoyed good health and had eaten heartily during the day. His wife went into the room and found him lying on the floor, alive but unconscious. She summoned her son who lives near and a physician was called but he died before relief could be given. The county coroner was notified of his sudden death and he notified a local physician to attend to the matter, not believing an inquest would be necessary because of his wife being present.
Funeral services will be held at New Bethel church Friday afternoon and the burial will be at the Pippenger cemetery. His wife and several children survive.
