She married Clarence M. Acker on February 18, 1922 in Shepherd, Isabella Co., MI. (Shepherd is not in Gratiot Co.) They were the parents of:

Betty Louise Acker 1925 - (John Blaine Beagle)
Vernon Clarence Acker 1928 - 1991 (Jo Ann Skinner)

Emma Marie Acker

Emma Marie Acker, 84, of St. Louis died Sunday, Dec. 13, 1987, at her home.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Alward-Carter Funeral Home in St. Louis with Mr. Bill Everett Wilson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Louis. Memorials may be made to the Patient Equipment Locker in Alma or to the St. Louis Church of Christ.

Mrs. Acker was born May 8, 1903, in St. Louis to Frank and Martha (Colbry) Cranz. She married Clarence M. Acker in February 1922 in St. Louis. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1958.

Mrs. Acker was employed at the D&C store in St. Louis for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty Beagle of Hemlock; a son, Vernone (Archie) Acker of St. Louis; a sister. Dorothy May of Hudson, Ohio, 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ardis Lentsch, a brother, Vernon Cranz: two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
