R. Allene (Barber) Brown, 79, of Manorville died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at Kittanning Care Center.
She was born April 15, 1924 in McGrann to Mark and Mary (Crytzer) Barber.
Mrs. Brown was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church in Manorville where she was a member of the Alter Guild.
She was a past member of Manorville Council. A lifelong resident of Manorville, she enjoyed knitting and gardening.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Howard W. "Pete" Brown; one son, Allen Brown of Freeport; one daugh-ter, Sherry Smith of Silver Springs, Md.; three grandchildren, Christopher Brown, David Brown and Cara Smith; and one sister, Helen Nall of Clarion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Paul Fahlor; and one sister, Jean Campbell.
BROWN - Friends of R. Allene (Barber) Brown, 79, of Manorville, who died Feb. 7, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Snyder-Crissman Fu-neral Home, Inc., 200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church with her pastor, the Rev. Andrew Daugherty, officiating. Bur-ial will be in the Ford City Cemetery. Arrangements by Snyder-Crissman.
