Janice B. Beiser, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2010 at the age of eighty-two. A fourth generation San Franciscan, she was born November 6, 1927.


Survived by husband A. Phillip Beiser, son Bruce, daughter Andrea, daughter-in-law Colleen, grandchildren Jarrod and Danielle.


Janice graduated from Washington High School, San Francisco, in 1945. She graduated from UC Berkeley in 1949, where she was president of AE Phi sorority.


She met her husband, Phil, in 1948 while both were attending Cal, married in 1949 for sixty-one years. Real estate broker for forty years; partner Beiser-Feder Real Estate; President of San Mateo/Burlingame Board of Realtors; member of Peninsula Temple Beth El since 1959, where she served on the Board of Directors and as president of the Sisterhood.


Janice and Phillip were residents of San Mateo for over fifty years and loved to spend their leisure time traveling the world, with stops in Europe, Russia, China, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Africa, North and South America.


Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Hills of Eternity Chapel, 1301 El Camino Real, Colma.
