Eloise Powell, 78, of Sardis, died Monday, Jan. 30, at Gwinnett Medical Center, Lawrenceville, Ga. She was born in Hinkle, Tenn., daughter of the late William Newt and Cora D. Adams. She was united in marriage to Tommy Lee Powell, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Powell was a homemaker and attended Sinner's Hope Church. She was a member of Eastern Star. Services will be held, today, Thursday, Feb. 3, at 1 p.m., at Sinner's Hope Church with Lloyd Blankenship and Danny Kennedy officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery in Saltillo. She is survived by one daughter, Janice Ann Hill of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one brother, Jimmy D. Adams of Sardis; and two grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Rheba Colbert.
