Jennie Blackstone Ruby, 95 of Cambridge, aunt of US Senator John Glenn, D- Ohio, Died at 9:40 am Sunday, June 7, 1987, at her home, following a lingering illness.
Mrs. Ruby was a member of the East Union Presbyterian Church and a retired employee of the Universal Pottery of Cambridge.
She was born Oct 16,1891 in Westland Township, Guernsey County, Ohio, to John and Mary (White) Glenn.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Wilbur Blackstone, Died 1921, and John Ruby, died in 1944,
Mrs, Ruby is Survived by three sons, Clyde Blackstone of Dover, Francis Blackstone, of Massillon and Wilbur of Old Washington; three step-sons, Charles Ruby and Torrence Ruby
of Cambridge; three daughters, Alice Homes of Cambridge, Bertha Knicely of Norwich, and Wilma Trammell of Sandusky; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 pm today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday, June 9, at the Thorn Memorial Chapel in Cambridge, and a hour prior to services at 1:30 pm Wednesday, June 10 at the East Union Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. T Everett Leedom will officiate. Burial will follow in East Union Cemetery.
