SELLERS, BERTHA M. OGLESBY - age 97 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 29, 2006 at the Stradford House of Chattanooga. Bertha was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband James Sellers.
She is survived by: her son, Charles Sellers and his wife Judy of Chattanooga; daughter, Anna Ruth Appling of Ochoee, Fla.; grandchildren Debra Crawford, Connie Geel, Donna Appling, Sandra Jones, Rick Sellers, Gary Sellers, Kevin Sellers, Kristi Mathes, Kathy Bordens, D'Lon Parker and Pam Clift; 2 special grandchildren Gary Sellers and Kevin Sellers; 26 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren; sister, Ruby McKnight Hodges of Knoxville; 1 special niece, Virginia Lee of Knoxville; 3 special nephews, Bobby Oglesby, Ray Oglesby and Bill Sellers; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 3, 2006 at Evergreen Funeral Home with a chapel service to follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Bob Zavatieri and Rev. Jack Gosnell officiating. The interment will be at 10 am Wednesday October 4, 2006 in Caledona Cemetery.
The pallbearers will be: Gary Sellers, Kevin Sellers, Bill Sellers, Bobby Oglesby, Ray Oglesby and Wes Pratt.
