Funeral services will be held Wednesday in Punxsutawney for Mrs. Linnie Mauk Benner, 80, a former resident of Sprankle Mills, who died Sunday in the John Kane Memorial Home in Pittsburgh.
She was born on October 22, 1889, in Jefferson County, a daughter of W. Lyman and Annie Caylor Mauk and April 1, 1912, was united in marriage with John R. Benner who died June 24. 1956. She was a member of the Ebenezer Evangelical church.
Surviving are a son, Raymond, of Pittsburgh. She leaves also six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Radie Caylor, of DuBois.
Friends will be received in the Schenkemeyer-McMillen Funeral Home from 7 to 9 tonight, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Tuesday and until time for services Wednesday at 1 p. m. The Rev George C. Culp will officiate and interment will be in the old Ebenezer Cemetery.
