They had one daughter Rebecca who married Leroy Anderson Kidd. After the death of Eveline, John married Ann Tipton and they had 1 son Henry Clay. In 1870, Henry Clay Lones took his family and his mother (Ann Tipton Lones) and moved to Caldwell County, Texas. This was after he and his mother had sold their plantation for 50 cents an acre.
