Agatha, a native of Española, was an Albuquerque Old Town Merchant. She was survived by sisters: Natividad Quintana and Frances Maes, of Española; daughter Eileen Maestas; son Tito; 4 grandsons and other relatives.

Agatha moved to Albuquerque to attend Albuquerque Business College when she met then married Florencio L. "Tito" Chavez.

Funeral services were on Feb 27th in the San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church in Albuquerque. Burial was in the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers: Victor Maestas, Michael Maestas, Gil Bond, Joe Bond, Buddy Tobias, and Arturo Quintana. Honorary pallbearers: William Moya Sr., Lional Holguin, and Sigfredo Maestas.
