Nadine Todd Sanford
Nadine was born March 30, 1926 in Modesto, California to Boyd Henry and Fern Idona Johnson Todd. She was the sixth of ten children. She died unexpectedly of heart failure on Saturday, March 27, 1999 at the age of 72.
She was married for 53 years to Wayne U. Sanford. They married April 2, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Nadine's beautiful voice and love for music allowed her to sing many solos while participating in trios, quartets, and ward choirs. She also served as chorister. She had a special love for children whom she taught. Nadine worked with the special needs children at Monte Vista and other schools. Children were drawn to her childlike love.She is the mother of Larene (Kim) Tovey, Darryl (Tracy) Sanford, Gayle (Kerry) Smith, JoLane Houghton, Kerry (Evelyn) Sanford, and Ryan (Karen) Sanford. She has 34 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 31, 1999 at the Bountiful 31st Ward Chapel, 585 East Center Street. Friends may call at the ward from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Wednesday or Tuesday, March 30, 1999 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main form 6-8 p.m. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
