Doris V. Frizzell, 89, of Springfield, died on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at her home.

Doris was born June 29, 1920 in Elkhart, TX, the daughter of John and Ethelynda Gray Willis. She married James E. Frizzell on April 17, 1938 in Tyler, TX. He preceded her in death on October 27, 1996.

Doris graduated from John Tyler High School in Tyler, TX. She co-authored a book "Collecting Royal Hager" with Lee Garmon. She was a member of the Glass Club of Springfield and enjoyed collecting antiques.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a great grandson, Davey Harmening; three sisters, Avalon, Melba and Odessa and a brother, Rudolph.

She is survived by her two daughters, Wanda Lambert and Barbara (husband, Dick) Greiner, both of Springfield; four grandchildren, Mark (wife, Dawn) of Pawnee, Jason (wife, Andi) of Manchester, Rob (wife, Rachel) of AK and Heather (husband, Frank) of AK; seven great grandchildren, Kaylyn, Evan, Jenna, Patrick, David, Joshua and Lexi; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. A funeral ceremony will be follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pat Meeter officiating.

Entombment will follow in Oak Ridge Mausoleum.
