Houston N. Burrow 87, of Carmel, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2010. Houston was born March 17, 1922 in Vian, Oklahoma to the late Edwin and Lizzy Cole Burrow. He was a WWII Navy veteran. Houston worked for Brown and Root Construction Co. as a construction engineer for 30 years. He worked as a trouble-shooter for petroleum companies and traveled all over the world. Houston retired in 1984. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed gardening.

Houston was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mildred Lee Robertson Burrow. He was a devoted father to his daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Ted Allerheiligen. He delighted in his family, including his grandson, John Allerheiligen; sisters, Fannie Floyd, Georgia "Zula" West and Ruby Walker; many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Grover and Leonard Burrow.
