Wilburn Henry Martin, age 93, born in Camden, AL, passed away Feb. 16, 2010 in Heritage Healthcare Care Center in Globe, AZ. He served his country proudly in the Air Force during WWII.
He grew up in Alabama and moved to Arizona when he got stationed in Phoenix in the Air Force. He moved to Globe in 1946. He worked in several occupations including a musician with the Bill Martin Western Band in the 40's and 50's, a surveyor with O.T. Smith and was a road engineer for the city of Globe. He was an avid hunter and fisher.
Wilburn is survived by his wife Marilyn Martin of Globe, his daughters Michelle Dalke(Buddy) of Anthem and Christine Martin of Los Angeles, CA, his son Fred Martin of Flagstaff, his sister Barbara Martin of Camden, AL along with three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The visitation will be held Feb. 19, [2010] at 7:00 pm and on Feb. 20 at 12:00 pm at Lamont Mortuary Chapel followed by the service at 1:00 pm. The interment will continue at Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens in Miami.
