Captain Samuel Bitler, of Wapakoneta, died at his residence last Sunday, aged 60 years. Mr. Bitler was captain of Co. K, 99th Ohio regiment, and no braver or truer man ever drew a sword in defense of his country. Every boy in the regiment knew him well for he was the true friend of every soldier.
