Daughter of George Phillip Elison and Maggie Jane Udy
Married Milton Calvin Sessions, 11 Sep 1933, Farmington, Davis, Utah
FARMINGTON--I, Maggie "Alene" Elison Sessions was born in Oakley, Idaho, on October 8, 1909, to George Phillip and Maggie Jane Udy Elison. I married my wonderful sweetheart and eternal companion on September 11, 1933, Milton C. Sessions, son of Calvin and Ruth Hess Sessions. We had seven children, Hazel (Paul) Willard, Patty (Jerry) Hartley of Kaysville, Judy (Duane) Porter, Neal Sessions of Layton, Zola (Jerry) Hatch, Herald "Dean" Sessions of Farmington, and Lynn (Melanie) Sessions of Twin Bridges, Montana. We have loved and enjoyed our 31 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren. I have valued the gifts of not passing judgment, the gifts of a mighty testimony, the gifts to look to God for directions, the gifts to be gentle, firm, loving, and patient, and the gifts to endure until the end. I have loved my Heavenly Father, husband, family, neighbors, and friends. I want to thank all those who have loved and cared for me.
I leave behind my sister, Zelda Tidwell, of Farmington and my sisters-in-law, Afton Elison, of Layton, Doris Sessions (Bill) Rigby of Farmington, and Bea Sessions of Victor, Idaho; many nieces and nephews. I will be joining my husband; our parents; sisters, Ardys Young, Roxie Cranney; brother, Dale Elison; son-in-law, Dirke Forman; daughter-in-law, Alice Benard Sessions; a grandchild, and two great-grandchildren. I passed away peacefully at my home on Saturday, December 12, 1998, with family and friends surrounding me with love.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 1998, at the Farmington Memorial Rock Chapel, 272 North Main, Farmington at 11 a.m. Friends and family may meet on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 North Fairfield Road, and one hour prior to services at the Chapel. Interment in Farmington City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice.
