Charlotte Mae Meadows, 83, of 94 South Ave., Harrisonburg, died Friday, June 4, 2004, at Avante at Harrisonburg.
Mrs. Meadows was born Jan. 19, 1921, in Page County, and was a daughter of the late Norris Hilman Shackelford and Mamie Shackelford (Rickard) Norris.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Luray Christian Disciples of Christ.
On March 19, 1938, she married David Lee Meadows, who preceded her in death Nov. 18, 1977.
She is survived by a daughter, Thelma B. Marston of Luray; two sons, David L. Meadows Jr. and Kenneth N. Meadows, both of Dunnellon, Fla.; three brothers, Harold Shackelford of Luray, Elwood Shackelford of Penington Gap, and Phil Norris of Culpeper; two sisters, Janice Baldwin of Rileyville and Maxine Seekford of Boonesboro, Md.; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Garland "Bubba" Gochenour and Chris Meadows will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Luray.
