GORTNEY, Wilma Maxine Randolph Jourdan
Wilma Maxine (Randolph) Gortney, 73, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 4, 1999. She was born on April 15, 1925, to E. V. and Genie Randolph. She was a retired employee from Tishomingo State Park. Services were Tuesday, April 6, at 2:00 at Ludlam Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bobby Elliott officiating. Burial was in the South Crossroads Cemetery. Survivors include one son, Hollis Aaron Jourdan, Jr., and his wife, Betty, of Corinth; four daughters, Judy Rhodes, Barbara Russell and her husband, Billy, of Iuka, Louise Jourdan of Burnsville, and Quay Hartranft and her husband, Lee, of Jackson, Miss.; one brother, Waylon Randolph, and his wife, Hilda, of Columbia, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; two special caregivers, Lisa Borden and Joyce Simpson; and a special neighbor, Hank Barrett. She was preceded in death by three sons, Bobby Roy Jourdan, Larry Aaron Jourdan, and Jerry Don Jourdan; one grandchild, Eddie Gene Allen; her parents; two sisters; and five brothers. Pallbearers were her nephews, George Randolph, Odell Randolph, Bob Waddell, Jimmy Randolph, Eddie Randolph, and O. T. Randolph. Ludlam’s Funeral Home in Iuka was in charge of the arrangements.
