Had Been Resident of Carthage 35 Years -
Funeral Will Be Saturday
Mrs. Minnie Florence Rutherford, 56 years old, wife of William B. Rutherford, Carthage grocer, died at 5:30 o'clock this morning at the Rutherford home, 231 North Garrison Avenue.
Death was due to a complication of ailments. She had been ill for some time.
Mrs. Rutherford was born October 9, 1871 in Clarkson, Missouri. She has been a resident of Carthage for the last 35 years coming here from Lawrence County. She is a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a *daughter, Mrs. Fern Wheelan of Blackwell, Oklahoma.
two sons:
*Charles & Victor McKinney both of Carthage
a brother A.V. Boswell of San Diego, California and a sister, Mrs. Pleas Smith of Golden City, Missouri.
Thomas Wheelan, a son-in-law is a patient in the hospital in Pampa, Texas and will be unable to attend the funeral.
His home is in Blackwell, Oklahoma
Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at the Rutherford Home.
The Rev. W.L. Perryman, former pastor of the M.E. Church, south, now of Kansas City, will be in charge. Burial will be in Park Cemetery.
