WALTER M. ANDERSON
Obituary was found in the Anderson file at the Morgan County Public Library.

In paying our last tribute of love and respect to Walter M. Anderson, we just wish to give you a few plain facts in a short history of his life. He was born in Brown county, Indiana, June 18, 1865 and departed this life March 6, 1934, age 68 years, 8 months and 16 days. He together with his parents in later years moved to Morgan county where he spent the remainder of his life, and as he lived this life he has made his own obituary; written better and one that will live longer in the memory of your hearts than will this one read today. On July 22nd, 1889, he was united in marriage with Carrie J. Lake, one who stood by him through thick and thin, and one who helpd him to bear the burdens and cares of this life.

He was the son of Sampson J. and Mary E. Anderson who reared a family of six children, four of whom together with the father and mother preceded him to the great beyond. His life has been one of great industry and close application to the interest of himself and companion. He was not unmindful of his fellowman. He was energetic in all his undertakings. He was always looking on the bright side of life, a genial companion and of a jolly nature. If you were to imagine that he did not have a strong serious side to his nature you did not know him, for when it came to any compromise with a wrong or evil act, he at once became stern, and stood firmly for the right.

He leaves to mourn their loss, his dear companion Carrie J. Anderson, one sister Mrs. Etta Miller, a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
