"Ruth C. Wilson, 88, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013. She was born in Mason, Texas on February 13, 1925.

She is preceded in death by her husband William A. "Dick" Wilson and daughter Mary Brooker. She is survived by her daughter Jackie and her husband Joe "Steve" Stephens of Winfield, Tennessee and her son William "Larry" Wilson of Harper, Texas. She has nine grandchildren, Chris Stephens of Onieda, Tennessee, Jennifer Collier and her husband Bryan of Lebanon, Tennessee, William Joshua Wilson and his wife Denise, and Lena Leahey and her husband of El Paso, Texas, James Cordle and Terri Heath of San Antonio, Texas, Sallie Moyer and husband Chet of Denver, Colorado, Renee Brooker of Denver Colorado and Michelle Sonnenberg and husband Mark of Radford, Virginia. She has 19 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mason. She is remembered for her honest, kind and loving ways and she always encouraged you to succeed in life's endeavors. Ruth was a wise woman who spoke the truth. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and canning. Ruth was a great cook and no one left her table hungry.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday evening, May 1 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held graveside at the Grit Cemetery on Thursday, May 2 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ray Ash leading the services.

Serving as pallbearers are Buster Nixon, Leo Cavness, Toby Cavness, Brent Lehmberg, Brett Loeffler and Jay Schovajsa. Honorary pallbearers are James Earl Vierus, Don Martin Vierus Jr., Roy Cooper and Robert Davis.
