TUPELO - Nava Jo Bailey Young, 75, died Jan. 14, 2010, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. Services are today at 1:30 p.m. at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Bros. Tommy Whaley and Truman Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will continue until service time today at the funeral home. Ms. Young was born March 25, 1934, in Monroe County to the late Bob and Nola Monaghan Bailey. She was a phlebotomist with North Mississippi Medical Center. She was a staff writer for Tombigbee County Magazine. She was a Baptist and a member of the Nettleton Independent Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Britt Young of Nettleton; brother, Buford Monahan of Amory; stepbrothers, David and Jerry Roach, both of Amory; and stepsister, Joan McCain of Amory.
Pallbearers are Tim Causey, J.B. and George Monaghan, Tommy Todd, Guy Pettit, and Gene Conwill.
