OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - May 3, 2004

Mattie Mae Ehret, 85, Rolling Meadows Health Care Center, LaFontaine, died at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Wabash County Hospital.

She was born on Dec. 12, 1918, in Pollock, La., to E. Theodore "John" and Gertrude (Mathews) Wills. She married Casimir A. Ehret on Dec. 18, 1941, in Gretna, La. He died on March 2, 1997.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Margaret Wilson Circle, the Woman's Clubhouse Association, and was past president of the West Ward Embroidery Club. She was employed at King-Hipskind Hardware/Gift Store, Wabash, for 20 years.

Surviving are a son, Thomas C. (Teresa) Ehret, Wabash; a daughter, Patricia M. Sutton, Fort Wayne; three grandsons, Jason R. (Alisha) Ehret, Indianapolis, Brandon T. Ehret, Fort Wayne, and Nicholas V. Ehret, Wabash; a granddaughter, Tiffany R. Ehret, Wabash; a sister, Wanda King, Gray, La.; and two brothers, Ronald Wills and Charles Wills, both of Louisiana.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. James MacDonald will officiate. #Burial will be in Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Manchester Avenue Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday. Preferred memorials are to First United Methodist Church.
