She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis (husband Robert) Powell of Dixon, and Jane (husband Allen) Parent of Houghton Lake, MI., five sons, Gordon (wife Barbara Jo) Painter of Foristell, MO., Keith (wife Betty) Painter of Bremerton, WA., Paul (wife Donna) Painter of Harrison Township, MI., Terry (wife Diana) Painter of Port Orchard, WA., and Duane Painter of White Hall. There are twenty five grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, and sisters, Edith Stoops of Augusta Me., Virginia Sipes of Patterson, Mary Ellen Glancy of Anacoco, LA., and a brother, Eugene Rutledge of Granite City. She was preceded in death by a son Floyd Dean Painter, a granddaughter Ginger Jo Painter, sisters Ina Mae Bell, and Eunilah Mean, and a brother Vivion Rutledge.
Mrs. Painter was a homemaker and loved working in her yard, keeping the leaves raked and her sidewalks swept. She took pride in keeping her home clean and tidy. She enjoyed scrapbooking and her picture albums. She loved her family very much and treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters.
Services were entrusted to Airsman-Hires Funeral Home of White Hall, Illinois.
