Funeral services for Doyle Branson Phillips will be conducted this afternoon at 4 o'clock from Pennington Chapel Methodist Church near Royston, Georgia, by Rev. Spencer Phillips. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Phillips.

Mr. Phillips, 50, was a son of the late Dr. Bunyon and Lethie Bond Phillips. He was a native of Georgia but had lived in Spartanburg for the past year. Mr. Phillips was ill only a short time and died in a Spartanburg hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dorshia Kidd Phillips; three sons, Charlie T., Doyle P. and Dwin L. Phillips; four sisters, Mrs. Zadie Hart, Mrs. Clyde Rice, Mrs. T. C. Scarbrough and Mrs. Katie Phillips; and five brothers, E. M., C. Phillips, Eldrige, Maryland and Reeves Phillips.

The body will be at the Jones Mortuary until 1 o'clock today at which time the funeral party will leave for Royston.
