Reuben Clark, an aged veteran and soldier of the War of 1812, died early in the week and was buried on the 3rd of April, on his 89th birthday. He had made his home with his son John in the neighborhood of Crayon. He was born in Rockingham Co, VA, 3rd April, 1795, and came with his father Marcus Clark to Ohio in 1809, settled on Muddy Creek on farm now owned by Levi Johnson. At the age of 18 years, he enlisted in the War of 1812, and was present at the Battle of the Thames. He was buried at the Old Family Graveyard on the Homestead Farm.
