EXLINE YOUNG MAN DIES IN HOSPITAL

William Dray, a young married solider from Exline, recently home from Camp Dodge, died at the Graham hospital Sunday where he was taken for treatment for serious complications growing out of scarlet fever. His wife, to whom he was married while in camp, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tuck Exline, is also at the hospital in a serious condition with similiar trouble and a nervous breakdown brought on by attempting to care for her husband. Mrs, Exline, mother of the wife, has been at the hospital attempting to give the additional care.

The deceased leaves his mother, Mrs. Doc. Dray, living in Des Moines, where a sister, Mrs. Alex Sanders also lives, and another sister lives in Centerville. Three brothers survive, Henry, Obe and Charley.

He had been sick for about a month at the hospital, his wife being down sick a less length of time. She is not able to go to the funeral. After the body has been cared for at the Overton Undertaking Rooms, it was taken to Exline where Euras Johnson has charge and the funeral will be held on Tuesday at 2 o'clock.

* His sister is not Mrs. Alex Sanders but Mrs. Alexander.
We were told that he passed away from the flu and that matches the death certificate which gives the cause of death as Septicemia which often followed the Spanish Flu.
