Mrs. John Fitzpatrick, aged 22 years, 5 months and 17 days, died at her home in Winthrop on Thursday, February 4, 1915, and the remains were taken to Greeley on Sunday where funeral services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church, interment being made in the Catholic cemetery at that place.

Gertrude Lillian Elledge was born near Elkport, Iowa, on September 17, 1892. On September 4, 1912, she was united in marriage to John Fitzpatrick, of Greeley, and to this union one daughter, Genevieve, was born, who at the tender age of nineteen months is left motherless. Mrs. Fitzpatrick lived in Greeley for several years and her death comes as a terrible shock to the host of friends she made there. In addition to the grief stricken husband and child, she is survived by her father and mother, seven brothers and two sisters, all of whom, with the exception of two brothers residing in Montana, were present at her funeral.

Other relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Michael Fitzpatrick, son and daughter, of Strawberry Point; Dr. Dennis Fitzpatrick, of Iowa City; Father James Fitzpatrick of Marshalltown; Thomas Fitzpatrick, Mrs. James Fitzpatrick and Mrs. Lottie Groves, of Dubuque; Mr. and Mrs. John Schacherer of Edgewood.
