"Mollie" is the daughter of Leonard Greenwood and Martha A Greenwood.

Mollie married Jiles Bass on April 15, 1875 in Thompson Township, Lumberton, Robeson County, North Carolina. Together they had seven children.

1--Emma [1876-????]
2--Rhoda Lizzie [1878-????]
3--Charlie Gaston [1880-1955]
4--Lee Ellis [1883-????]
5--Claude {1886-1954]
6--Minnie May [1889-1912
7--Beula [1892-1910]

Linda Christenburg Moody Brown sent all of the information on Mollie. Mollie was her great-gr grandmother.

Linda writes, A book has been passed down to me from my mother that once belonged to her great-grandparents, Jiles and Mary Jane "Mollie" (Greenwood) Bass. "What Baptists Believe". This is a small brown hardback book. Copyright, 1887, by H.M. Wharton & Co.. In the back of the book is written in pencil the names of Jiles and Mary Jane (Greenwood) Bass along with all their children's names and births. Also written is the death of Jiles and some of the children along with Ann Greenwood born April 5, 1848 and W.C. Greenwood born December 1, 1852 and he died September 12, 1855. I think maybe these are the siblings of Mary Jane (Greenwood) Bass. It also list Militia W. Bass born May 9, 1855, as of yet I don't know about Militia W. Bass, if the initial W. is for her maiden name or if Bass is her maiden name.---Linda

We do not have a picture of Mollie. If someone wants to add one, please do. Linda sent the two pictures of her headstone saying the one standing is unreadable but the one laying down can be read.

Thanks Linda for all your help over the years, which you still continue to do. And thanks for all the pictures you have shared.

If someone would like to contact Linda, here is her e-mail address that she ask me to submit.
