"OBITUARY"

WATERLOO--Delbert Barhydt, 77, Rt.2, Waterloo, died at 7:45 am Sunday in McCray Memorial Hospital, Kendallville, of complications of age. He had been ill three weeks and hospitalized three weeks. Mr. Barhydt was born June 18, 1892, in Noble County but had lived his lifetime in DeKalb County. He operated the Morningstar Grocery on US6 west of Waterloo. He married Margaret McKeever, Jan. 10, 1942, in New Haven. Survivors includes his wife; five sons, Delbert Jr., Kimmel; Kenneth, Huntertown; Delos, Sharon, Conn.; Harold, Warren, Mich; and step-son, James L. McKeever, LaOtto; two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Huff, South Bend IN; Mrs. Imogene Riehm, Kendallville; and a Brother, Richard, Mishawaka. One son, Clifford, preceded him in death. Services will be conducted at Gerig Funeral Home, Auburn, Tuesday at 2pm. with the Rev. C. William West , pastor of Kendallville Church of God, officiating. Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Haven. Friends may call from 2-5pm and 7-9pm today.
