Ethel Ann Adams Cantwell passed away on Jan. 29, 2003 at the Cassia Regional Medical Center (Burley, Idaho). She was born Dec. 15, 1913 to Lucy Ann Kirby and Ivan Sylvestor Adams in Turner, Idaho. She moved to Sacramento, CA when she was 17.

She married Roy A. Cantwell on July 17 1952. Ethel was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an active member in the Eagles, serving as president in 1957-58 and 1964-65, the Noveta Council #151 and the Grange until last year when she moved to Idaho because of illness. She enjoyed participating in her lodge activities for about 50 years. Ethel worked as a waitress and sold Watkins and Fuller Brush products for many years.

She canned fruit and vegetables and made many quilts for her friends, neighbors and family members. She loved her dogs.

She is survived by a brother, Virgil (Norma) Adams; a sister, Leona Thomas Johnson; and several nieces and a nephew, Eva (Sidney) Noles, Dean (Joyce) Adams, Nancy (Ben) Davis, Linda (Carey) Burnside, Jean (Sam) Taylor, Leanne (Richard) Ruesch and Judy (Arlen) Woodward.

Preceding her in death was an infant brother, John Gilbert Adams, her spouse and great-nephew, Kurt Woodward.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Feb. 7, 2003 at the Hansen Mortuary Burley Chapel, 321 E. Main, Burley, ID with Bishop Scott Horsley officiating. Interment and graveside services will be held at the East Lawn Memorial Park, 4300 Street and Folsom Blvd. in Sacramento, CA on Monday, Feb 10, 2003 at 11 a.m.
