Mrs. Virginia Hall

Virginia Dodds Hall, passed away Feb. 2, 2010. She was born to Joseph H. and Marie Burton Dodds Sept. 1, 1918. She was the granddaughter of Pardon and Minni Hatch Dodds. Pardon built the first log cabin in Vernal.

Virginia married Morgan Hall Dec. 24, 1941. After they married she moved to Dry Fork until 1996 when she convinced Morgan to move back to her home place. She was always known as Aunt Jin or Jinny. Everybody that knew her well always called her by that name. She loved family gatherings, cooking, gardening, sewing, helping on the Ranch during her lifetime she loved to go with Morgan camping and fishing. She took many pack trips. She worked at Co-op, First Security Bank and Assessor's office.

She experienced many different things in her life time. Her biggest heart break was when they lost their son Gary D. Hall in the Vietnam War. Virginia belonged to a sewing club they had in Dry Fork. In her first years there, and many different clubs as well. She loved just being home and not adventuring too far off. She loved her heritage and the history of our area.

Virginia is survived by sister, Lois D. Hall; niece/daughters Gala (Kenny) Morris, Carol (Dyle) Webster all of Vernal; a special claimed son, Paul (Sandy) McCoy of Vernal and their children Russell McCoy, Kenny (Joliegh) McCoy, Morgan (Ann) McCoy, Khristy (Brad) Jones; grandchildren, Opie Rhoades of Vernal, Cara Hershberger, Suzi Thomas of Rock Springs, Wyo., Logan Webster, Tracy Alesha Webster, Jeremy Dean (Amanda A.) Morris and their two children, Morgan Dean and Kenzi; Virginia JoAnn (Jenna), Kenna Marie, Amanda Dawn Morris of Vernal; many great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law Dawna Wardell of Vernal.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan; and son Gary D. Hall; grandsons Gary Wade Rhoades and Morgan Joseph (MoJo) Morris.

Interment in the Dry Fork Cemetery under the direction of the Blackburn Vernal Mortuary.
