GALLAGHER, Ree M. age 84 of Oregonia passed peacefully Saturday evening, February 13, 2010. Born August 20, 1925 in Earnestville, Kentucky, Ree was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a graduate of University of Kentucky with a degree in Electrical Engineering. Ree had worked for Busy Bee Electric, the Cincinnati Water Works, the Mound, General Electric, Belcan and Frigidare. Preceded in death by his parents, Ree leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years - Ena F. (Stamper) Gallagher of Oregonia; sons Bedford Daniel 'Butch' Gallagher (Nancy) of North Carolina and James Eric Gallagher (Sherrill) of Waynesville; sister - Helen Griffith of Lexington, Kentucky; grandchildren Jeremy (Brooke) Gallagher, Zachary (Jamie) Gallagher and Hollie (Ryan) Zate; one great-granddaughter - MacKenzie Shea Gallagher; special friend and neighbor Jim Freeze of Oregonia. Friends may call on the family Friday evening, February 19, 2010 from 5pm until 8:00pm at the STINE Kilburn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, February 20, 2010 at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Craft and Pastor Bill Perry officiating. Burial will follow in the Miami Cemetery in Corwin. The family has requested memorial donations be directed to Destiny Hospice, Cincinnati.
