Funeral services for John Thomas Vincent, 37 who was found dead in bed at his home Monday morning, were held April 7, 1953 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Booth Funeral Home. The Rev. Homer Edwards officiated.
Thomas who was employed at the Tennala Pipe Factory, is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Vincent, wife, Mrs. Louise Hinds Vincent; four children, Opal, John Wesley, Jannie and Jimmy Vincent. One brother Earl Vincent of Rockwood. Fived sisters; Mrs. Bob Farner, Mrs. Ray Clark, Miss Dorothy Vincent all of Rockwood; Mrs.. Alfred Baxendale, Augusta, Georgia and Mrs. Paul Harness of Cookeville.
Pallbearers were George Galyon Jr., Pete Fisher, Claude Fisher, Earl Monday, Lloyd Monday and J. B. Boles. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery.
