Bob Ed Allen passed away unexpectedly on February 13, 2010. He was born in Blackshear, GA on February 26, 1937 to the late Andrew H. Allen and Cora Bell 'Dora' Allen.

Bob had eight brothers and sisters, the late Sheba Allen Lee, Stella Allen Dixon, James Allen, Thomas Allen, Terry S. Allen, Sr. and is survived by Del Allen, Martha Allen Herrin and Dorothy Allen Ramos.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joyce Burke Allen; daughters, Robin Allen-Paris and Tammy Allen-Kouns; sons-in-law, David Paris and Christopher Kouns; grandchildren, Clara, Emily, Josh, Molly and Caden.

He is very much loved and already missed by his family and friends. He was affectionately called Uncle Bob, Poppy bob and Papaw by his grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm on Tuesday, February 16 at Hardage Giddens Funeral Homes at 11801 San Jose Boulevard.

The funeral will be held in the chapel of Hardage Giddens Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 17th followed by a graveside service at Mandarin Cemetery. Everyone is welcome to attend the services and afterwards at the Allen residence.
