When Joseph Oliver or A "Joe" Bradley was born on August 17, 1869, in Jacksonville, Calhoun, Alabama, his father, Francis Abner Bradley, was 23 and his mother, Mary Elizabeth Johnson Bradley , was 20. He married Frances Inez Ford in Lamar County, Texas on July 29, 1897. They had six children: Aaron Oliver, Clarence Ervin; Alexander (died about 2 yr old) ; Rupert Miles; Fletta Velma; and Viola Bradley. He died on August 11, 1908, in McAlester, Pittsburg, Oklahoma, at the age of 38. He was buried in Scranton, Eastland, Texas in the Scranton Cemetery. He was the husband of my husband's great aunt
