Mrs. Mellie[sic] Ruth Threatt, 49, of Siluria, died yesterday at a Birmingham hospital.
Surviving are her husband, R.H. Threatt; three sisters, Mrs. Mildred Walker of Rome, Ga.; Mrs. Marie Leyton of Cartersville, Ga.; and Mrs. J.I. Bell of Lindale, Ga.; a brother, S.J. Stepp of Lindale.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Siluria Methodist Church. Johns-Ridout's Valley Chapel in charge. The body will lie in state for an hour before the service.
