J.J. Eugene Smith, 74, of Borger died today in the Veterans Hospital in Amarillo.
Funeral services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
A native of Lincoln County, Okla., he had been a Borger resident for 30 years. He was a retired mechanic and World War II veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Jo of the home; two daughters, Riette Dawson of Fritch; and Clairiette Smith of Borger; two brothers, Elbert Smith of Wheeler; and Bill Smith of Borger; four grandchildren, Richelle Couch and Shawn Couch, both of Borger; Christina Dawson and Michelle Dawson, both of Fritch.
