Born Nov. 27, 1949 in Rushville, he was the son of Raymond L. Anderson Sr. and Mary Norma (Brown) Stafford, both deceased. He married Linda L. Tucker June 21, 1980; she survives.
Mr. Anderson attended Manilla schools. He worked in the maintenance department at Charles Major Manor and had formerly worked for Mark Concrete. He was a U.S. Marine veteran of the Vietnam War.
Survivors in addition to his wife include sons, David L. Anderson of Greensburg, Raymond L. (Jennifer) Anderson of North Vernon, Lance Anderson and James R. Anderson, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Mandy J. Peavler, April L. Anderson and Jennifer R. Anderson, all of Shelbyville; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, William Stafford Jr. of Greenwood; sisters, Carolyn McDonald, Norma Susan (Kenny) Rasdall and Beverly King, all of Shelbyville, and Diane Higdon of Manilla.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by step father, William "Bud" Stafford, who raised him; and sisters, Ramona Zapata and Lisa Stafford.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Family Funeral Home, Carmony-Ewing Chapel in Shelbyville with Pastor Jim Fraley officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
