The funeral service was held at Mt. Union Church the services being conducted by Rev. Booth. The interment took place at Paulk cemetery close by on Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock.
The deceased is survived by his wife and children, including a step son, Charlie Smith, of this city. Mr. Daniel was one of the county's prominent citizens, and during his long life had done much for his fellow man. He was called on in the community in which he lived for any thing that needed to help out in a material way and for the good of his community. He was a splendid neighbor and friend, and lived thru the days when this country began its great development. His place will be hard to fill.
The Douglas Undertaking Co. had charge of the funeral arrangements.
